From our Director
Chris Ferguson
This has been another wonderful year for the members of Royal River Chorus, and I feel privileged to be their Director. Standing in front of this talented group of women each week is a little like being a nature photographer in a butterly house. Each woman is unique and lovely in her own right, and collectively they are awe-inspiring. I watch the perpetual metamorphosis as our experienced members fine-tune their skills, and the newer members begin to develop theirs, and the chorus becomes more skilled, more confident, more musical.
After 32 years as a member of Sweet Adelines, I am amazed at how much there still is to learn. Ours is an evolving craft, one that produces smarter singers each year. The women in our chorus have invested in its success and in their own personal growth. They work tirelessly on music, choreography, presentation, costumes, vocal production... and the list goes on and on. It is through their efforts that we have exceeded our expectations.
These butterflies are ready to spread their wings and take flight. Wouldn't you like to be among them?
